Week 07 refletions.
During this week we learned about the different types of CNC and their uses. The specificities of each machine and their parameters. CNC is a machine with longer possibilities from small prototypes to big ones: PCB, furniture, 3d shapes among others.
It took me a lot of time to decide what to do with this machine because I wanted to use everything I fabricate during the weekly task in my final master project. Finally, I came up with a 3D shape that I will use later to make the artifact body. As a 3D shape, the tutorial that the class included was not enough for that task.
I asked Edu to learn how to use the RhinoCAM for 3D shapes. These are some of the steps we needed to follow.
Finally, I placed the foam in the CNC with wood slices help. Choose the endmill and strat to mill!!
The finishing was not the one I expected because of the internal lines that the CNC made in the convex shapes, but as it was a mold I didn't care so much about the resolution.
